Carlos Torres (b. 1983, Guadalajara, Mexico) is a distinguished artist whose work bridges traditional printmaking and contemporary painting. A graduate of the School of Visual Arts at the University of Guadalajara, Torres began his artistic journey working in the studios of renowned artists Juan Carlos Macías and Sergio Garval. He further honed his skills in printmaking as part of the collective "La Torre de Los Grillos," where he studied under master printer Cornelio García, refining his expertise as a printmaker and engraver.

Torres has received significant recognition for his work, including second place at the José Atanasio Monroy Second Biennial of Painting (2014) and first place at the Salón de Octubre (2019). His accolades extend to honorable mentions in prestigious national and international competitions, such as the José and Tomás Chávez Morado Prize (2018) and the 4th International Biennial of Printmaking and Etching José Guadalupe Posada (2019). He was also a finalist in the Rufino Tamayo Biennial (2017).
