Daniel Limón Trejo, b. 1993

From an early age, Daniel Limón Trejo has been drawn to form, color, urban infrastructure, graffiti, and street art. He is largely self-taught in his exploration of form, planes, nature, volume, texture, and diverse materialities, having completed half of a degree in architecture.

The everyday—along with the dynamism of the city and those who inhabit it—forms the central vein of his practice. References to early inhabitants, stencil, and collage appear as recurring elements; at the same time, illusion, curiosity, and the traces left by time provide sufficient reason to remain open and receptive, returning again and again to the emotional core of the work.

A poetic sensibility—written from the edge of desperation, sadness, bitterness, and that which clouds beauty, climax, and the senses—never goes unnoticed. For this reason, it is consistently embedded in each piece. The viewer is invited to either confirm or reinterpret these narratives, with reinterpretation being the preferred approach.

Since 2018, Limón Trejo has participated in numerous national and international exhibitions, including Underground at the Center for Culture and the Arts of the Ribera; Si Somos Nada at Galería Bruna; Psycollage Vol. 1 and 2 at Vía Libertad; and Jóvenes Pintores de Jalisco at the Instituto Cultural Cabañas. He has also carried out multiple sculptural and mural interventions throughout the municipalities of Guadalajara and Zapopan.
